A Free Outdoor Holiday Event for Families to Celebrate the True Spirit of Christmas Near Williamsburg, VA

Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center (WCRC) is excited to announce the return of its beloved "Christmas Around the Campfire" event on December 8, 2024. Open to families, individuals, and church groups, this free holiday celebration promises a unique outdoor experience that focuses on reconnecting with the true meaning of Christmas amidst the tranquil setting of Toano, just 20 minutes northwest of Williamsburg, VA.

“Christmas Around the Campfire” offers a peaceful break from the holiday rush. It features festive activities such as caroling, wagon rides, scripture readings, and a journey through the nativity story. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, cookies, and a cozy campfire gathering.

A Christmas Celebration to RemembThe event kicks off with scripture readings and carols, followed by a candlelit walk along a scenic path, stopping at key stations to experience parts of the Christmas story. Around the campfire, attendees will participate in worship and a short devotion. Families can enjoy wagon rides through the picturesque retreat grounds, taking in the crisp air and serene surroundings.
