Each bag is an original, made by hand in Welden’s studio in China. “Our artisans cut the leather and create the designs for each bag individually, so you can see their own personal touch in each bag,” says Cissy Chui, whose family’s company, The Well Leatherware, has been making high-end handbags in Hong Kong and China for over 50 years.
The care that goes into each creation may have something to do with the company’s philosophy of providing a livable wage and career path for its employees.
