According to industry statistics, the recent recession has done little to deter destination weddings. Statistics show the number of people traveling to Hawaii for their ceremony is relatively the same as it was in 2003; however, the average spending is down close to 20%. Roger Parsons, owner of wedaloha.com, confirms these numbers saying, "We've been in this business for a number of year and have seen the ebb and flow of the tourists. The numbers of weddings we provide services for has stayed consistent, but the recession has hit a number of people hard. They just don't have as much money to spend on their wedding." —
With this trend in mind, wedaloha.com is announcing Hawaii wedding packages for budget minded couples. Says Parsons, "A wedding in Hawaii doesn't have to break the budget. In fact, the average cost for Hawaii weddings run around $2,000 grand total. Compare that to the what the average cost is for a traditional wedding back home. The majority of couples spend between $19,000 and $32,000!"
"We truly give the couples the most bang for their buck. At the very affordable end is the Lychee Package which is essentially just the minister. You can use the Lychee to build your own package, adding just those services you want. At the other end of the spectrum is the Really Big, Really Fat Hawaii Package which includes just about everything a couple could want, including limousine transportation from and back to the airport for the couple and a fine dining dinner for two at Sarento's. Regardless of which one you choose, you'll still end up spending significantly less than most couples do at home."
Parsons goes on to say, "There are many couples who dream of having beach weddings in Hawaii. However, they often think they won't be able to afford to make this dream into a reality. We prove them wrong, as our goal is to help all of our clients have affordable and beautiful weddings in Hawaii. We help brides and grooms plan every detail of their Hawaii destination wedding, from photography, to limo service, to a venue. It truly takes the stress out of the wedding and puts the focus back on the couple, as it should be."
Parsons urges couples to ask about their Spring special, saying, "With three of our most popular packages, couples can receive over 100 photos to download or a French Bouquet and Boutonniere free, if they mention this special."
Professional Hawaii wedding planners on the island of Oahu since 1980, owners Roger and Irene Parsons bring quality and services to every wedding that are second to none.
