Veterans Over 64: Learn Why You Need Medicare with Your VA Benefits

Many veterans on VA benefits believe they don’t need Medicare. Many are wrong. That’s why on March 18th at 11AM PST/2PM EST, a veteran-owned and operated agency, is hosting a webinar, 12 Reasons Veterans on VA Benefits Need Medicare.

12 Reasons Veterans on VA Benefits Need Medicare

The VA does not recommend veterans decline or cancel their Medicare benefits. But since many veterans struggle financially and Medicare Part B has a cost (Part A has $0 premium for qualified beneficiaries), many veterans decide they’d rather keep the money. Had they taken the time to speak with a Medicare specialist like, they would know there are several ways to reduce or eliminate this cost, receive additional help at no cost, all while increasing the benefits they’ve earned over their working life.

The webinar will explain how Medicare and VA benefits work, why the VA does not recommend declining Medicare, how to eliminate or reduce your Part-B premium, what additional benefits veterans receive that save them money immediately, how to apply for Extra Help and Medicare Savings Programs, plus how they can receive additional benefits (dental, chiropractic, emergency travel coverage, OTC allowances, FREE gym memberships, etc.) that saves veterans thousands of dollars. Plus, there will be a question-and-answer session at the end in the event your question was not answered by the webinar.

Eddie Velez, Marine combat veteran and Medicare specialist, says: “I receive my healthcare through the VA and they’re wonderful. However, 1 in 17 veterans get no dental (me included). Many don’t realize Medicare Advantage plans provide dental and other money-saving benefits. Often, they will have more in the bank with Medicare than without it.”

He also says, “When you stop and think about everything Medicare offers, you understand that social security is not your main benefit. For example, my mom had two hospitalizations that cost almost $500K in one year. Her Medicare Advantage plan took care of the bill and all she paid was $500 – that was .1% of the bill! And what about all the other medical services she received in her lifetime? So why would I leave the most valuable benefit I’ve earned on the table?”

The webinar will take place on March 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM PST/2:00 PM EST. To register, go to If the link does not work, copy and paste YOURCAREREP.COM/VETERANS without WWW.
