One good cook with a well-liked pear recipe will gain fame and fortune in Frog Hollow Farm’s “Prepare A Pear” Contest. Frog Hollow is seeking entries from America's cooks whose recipes use pears as a key ingredient.Win a $300 Seasonal Goodies Package from Frog Hollow Farm by entering their “Prepare A Pear” contest. Entrants will submit a signature pear recipe that has pear as an important ingredient and Frog Hollow's in-house Chef Becky will select the top five recipes from all submissions. The winner will be selected by customer voting at the FrogHollow.com website October 21-31.
Frog Hollow Farm is a pioneer in organics and sustainable agriculture. When most farms didn't know what ‘being organic’ meant, owner Farmer Al made a commitment to the soil and implemented sustainable farming practices. This October, his vision is to encourage the use of organic pears as a key ingredient in cooking. With this goal in mind, Farmer Al and Chef Becky launched their ‘Prepare A Pear’ contest wherein they are encouraging America's cooks to submit their signature pear recipes for a chance to win certified organic pears and other goodies from Frog Hollow Farm.
Contest Details:
1. Contest Duration: Oct. 1-31, 2013.
2. Deadline to submit recipes: Oct. 20, 2013
3. Contestants are required to submit a recipe that uses pears as a key ingredient along with one original photograph of the final product.
4. To submit a recipe, use #FrogHollowPears on Twitter or Facebook. Contestants without a Twitter or Facebook profile may e-mail recipes to info@froghollow.com with #FrogHollowPears as the subject line.
5. Chef Becky will select the top five recipes from all the entries that they receive from Oct. 1-20.
6. Top five recipes will be posted on their website, www.FrogHollow.com, where customers will be encouraged to vote for their favorite.
7. The recipe with maximum votes on the Frog Hollow website will be declared the winner of the Prepare A Pear contest. Deadline to vote, Oct. 31, 2013.
8. A winner will be declared Nov. 1, 2013.
Prize: The winner will receive a special Seasonal Goodies Package including Frog Hollow's famous Warren pears and an assortment of their conserves and marmalades, freshly-baked cookies, their special pear ginger cake, assorted dried fruit, a bag of granola, and a bottle of their organic olive oil. The prize will be shipped to the winner at no cost. Total prize value, including shipping, is $300.
Eligibility Criteria: Anyone who is a resident of the United States of America is eligible to participate.
