Amazon.com and other major online marketplaces, where it has established a vibrant brand presence. Most of Thermalabs products are launched via Amazon.com. The company is however determined to increase its presence in local distribution stores where a big chunk of consumers in the cosmetics market still do their shopping.
Thermalabs is a leading firm that is based in the U.S. The company opened its doors nearly three years ago, starting out as a campaigner for healthier skin products. The company launched its first-ever product sometimes in 2013. This was a unique self-tanning lotion that featured unique ingredients such as Green Tea, Shea Butter, and Aloe Vera. After analyzing the shortcomings of most of the competitions’ products, Thermalabs was determined to create a lightweight product that delivered immense results within the confines of health. Following a strategic pre-market campaign, the product was a major hit, selling thousands of units in the first week. This helped the company attract the media attention it needed to expose its young brand, setting the stage for the market success of future launches.
Thermalabs influence is heavily felt in the self-tanning niche, where the company has contributed an extensive range of at least 8 tanning lotions and accessories. However, in recent times, Thermalabs has been diversifying its product portfolio. Last year, the company introduced Supremasea, an entirely new sub-brand that would oversee a new line of skincare products based on the immensely beneficial mineral salts from the Dead Sea. Supremasea’s pilot product, Tan Enhancer, is already available to customers on Amazon.com. This is a luxury lotion that leads to that after-tan glow that most people crave about, as well as protects and moisturizes the skin.
Thermalabs also announced Tent World earlier this year. This is yet another sub-brand that will oversee the production of Thermalabs upcoming range of beach and sports tents. Already, the company has introduced Mercury, its pilot product under Tent World. Each new product will be named after a planet in the solar system. The tents will be multi-purpose, and suited for use in diverse scenarios. Thermalabs has booked tent.world and tent.tips domain names that it’ll use to provide information on its tents to customers.
Alex Howard, a marketing coordinator at Thermalabs, said, “Thermalabs is increasing offline distribution efforts. Over the last two and a half years, our company has largely relied on online prospecting. That probably explains why all of our product launches in the past have been done via Amazon.com, the world’s leading e-commerce marketplaces. However, moving forward, we want to tap into the millions of customers who still do their shopping at local retail stores. This means we have to partner with various distribution stakeholders. We are looking to see how these new efforts will play for our company through the remaining part of the year.”
