The Route is officially open from mid-April to late November. Still, the snow corridor, Yuki-no-Otani, is closed to traffic and, therefore, available exclusively as a walking route from April 15 to June. The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is easy to reach as it is well connected by train from Tokyo in 2-3 hours to Toyama.
