The new menu item, Tiramisu Belgium Waffles, is set to become another favorite and staple at The Sunny Side Cafe Location. These waffles, which are made to order, aren't topped with butter. Instead, they will feature chilled tiramisu on top, made with chocolate, honey, and mascarpone.
"Chef Aaron French created the original menu which features unique creations, such as the restaurants all-time favorite, The Alameda, which is a smoked ham, mushroom, cheese, French toast sandwich topped with two eggs over-easy, hollandaise sauce, and a balsamic reduction," stated cafe owner Joseph Khatcherian "The menu was created to reflect on the local suppliers and community support, keeping in mind the distance the supplies had to cover to reach the restaurant."
Everything served at The Sunny Side Cafe is locally sourced and made fresh in the kitchen daily. Certified Humanely raised and naturally fed meats from Golden Gate Meats, Wild Planet sustainably caught Tuna, and Semifreddi's organic breads, all characterize the quality and care that goes into each plate of food offered on The Sunny Side Cafe Menu.
Conveniently located across from the UC Berkeley campus, The Sunny Side Cafe can be found at 2136 Oxford Street, right next to one of Berkeley's famous mural paintings, "You Are My Sunshine." A great addition added last year is an outdoor seating parklet, where customers can enjoy themselves and an added benefit is that it is very pet-friendly. The Sunny Side Cafe has happily been the tenants of this location for eight years and continues to have a great relationship with the property management company (Oxford Development Group), the Berkeley community, and the UC Berkeley campus.

ABOUT THE SUNNY SIDE CAFE
The Sunny Side Cafe, which opened in 2003, originally served breakfast and lunch options, which include organic greens, organic coffee, farm fresh eggs and all natural, humanely raised meats, as well as sustainably caught fish.
