The — Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association (CFRSA) elected a new Board of Directors in the last month, appointing a new president in the process. The Board of Directors is tasked with helping members build a better local roofing industry for themselves and consumers alike.
The new President is Jeffrey A. Hewitt from Gold Key Roofing. He is replacing former President Kristal Wingate with Roof Top Services. Gold Key Roofing provides residential, commercial, and roof cleaning services. Established in 1975, the company has provided stellar service to residents of Central Florida from the same building in Belle Isle.
The new Vice President is J. Douglas Lanier with Collis Roofing. Collis Roofing has been serving residents of 64 counties across the state of Florida for more than 20 years. The company actively gives back to the community through their foundation, Collis Cares. In addition, they offer both military and senior discounts to make roof repair and replacement more affordable for as many families as possible. Collis Roofing has offices in Longwood, Melbourne, Lakeland, and Saint Augustine.
The new secretary is Jarred Mellick with Universal Roofing & Contracting. Universal Roofing & Contracting, established in 1993, is a family-owned business that provides home improvement, roof repair and replacement, and more. Residential and commercial services are available to residents and businesses around Central Florida and now Jacksonville. With the Community Works program, Universal provides sponsorships for various non-profit organizations such as The Lovely Project and True Life Choice.
The new treasurer is Jim Krantz who works with Carta Construction and Roofing. Carta Construction and Roofing is backed by Krantz’s 30 years in the construction industry and serves as a general contractor and provides commercial and residential services. From new home builds to remodels and roofing projects, Carta is nearly a one-stop shop for residents of Central Florida and the surrounding area. Though a young company with only two years of service, it continues to grow by providing quality service to customers.
Jeffrey A. Hewitt says, “I am absolutely thrilled to be the new president of CFRSA. I have been actively involved with this organization for years. Working with the other board members, I expect to make great progress during my tenure. Those involved in the construction industry are welcome to attend a meeting to learn more about the organization, and our plans for moving forward together.”
About Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association: The Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association was established in 1955 as an affiliate of the Florida Roofing Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors Association. CFRSA deals with issues that affect members on the local level. The CFRSA is comprised of licensed roofing and sheet metal contractors, as well as a number of associate members, which include suppliers, manufactures, and other companies that are involved with the roofing industry.
