-- Thai AirAsia (FD) has maintained its status as the most on-time airline in Thailand, reaffirming its position as the only Thai airline to rank among the Top 10 in Asia Pacific at the fifth position while also placing among the Top 10 low-cost airlines in the world with an On-Time Performance (OTP) rate of 77.46 percent.
Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, voiced pride in the carrier’s ability to remain ranked high for global airline OTP by Cirium, as the placing is a reflection of Thai AirAsia’s commitment to operational excellence . He thanked all of the airline’s departments for their dedication to maintaining strong on-time operations as well as to the passengers for acknowledging the importance of punctuality.

Throughout 2024 into 2025, Thai AirAsia has put a dedicated focus on being the best on time airline as part of our goal of instilling confidence with punctuality as a fundamental value in Thailand and wherever we fly. .” Mr. Santisuk said.
Mr. Chatupong Hongwiset, Head of Ramp and Ground Service Equipment, and Chair of the On-Time Performance Development and Management Committee pointed out that 2024 was a challenging year for OTP for all airlines in the region as rapid expansion of the aviation business increased flights, making air traffic management, aircraft engineering requirements, among others more complicated, especially during the peak year-end holiday season which saw numerous matters outside the airline’s control including weather conditions.
“It is wonderful that Thai AirAsia remains the most punctual airline in Thailand once again as well as among the Top 10 most on-time airlines in Asia Pacific and in the Top 10 for low-cost airlines globally. . The past few years have been challenging for airlines the world over. While we are happy to be amongst the top for reliability in 2024, in n 2025, we commit to our goal of an even higher OTP rate as we strive to deliver a new standard in high quality service, reliability and affordability. ” Mr. Chatupong said.
