Surrey Tree Surgeons Prepared for Increase in Emergency Tree Work

Autumn has been mild so far this year but forecasters are predicting the strongest El Nino in history will bring violent storms to Britain, Midgard Tree Services say they are prepared for emergency work.

Midgard Tree Services are tree surgeons located in Surrey. The company offers a range of services, services offered by Midgard include: crown thinning, hedge trimming, stump grinding, felling, topping & lopping. Midgard Tree Surgeon Services are based in Cobham, Surrey. With more than ten years of tree surgery experience the company can service the whole of the UK but generally covers Surrey, West Sussex and London.

The company say they are prepared for an increase in emergency work following expert predictions that the UK could experience six months of violent storms. On their emergency tree work page Midgard Tree Services say, “Midgard Trees have been providing clients in Surrey and the surrounding areas with an emergency tree work service for a number of years. Consisting of an emergency call out service, we respond to situations where immediate remedial work is needed such as following a major storm, vehicle damage or when a tree has unexpectedly failed and is a threat to people or property.”

Meteorologists are predicting that the UK could be hit by 6 months of violent storms due to the strongest El Nino in history. El Nino means that the sea surface temperature in the equatorial pacific ocean will be unusually high, the phenomenon is known to affect global climate patterns from the South to North pole.

According to the BBC blog, El Nino is going to bring colder drier conditions to Northern Europe, “El Nino of 2009/2010, the winter across northern Europe, including the UK was exceptionally cold.” Other meteorologists are predicting the El Nino will bring violent winds to Britain, 1997 was the last time that El Nino was this strong and that year 100MPH plus winds hit Britain. This years El Nino is still growing in strength and so could well exceed the 1997 record.

Midgard Trees say it is not just high winds that can cause an emergency, rainfall can also saturate the ground eroding soil around the roots of a tree and making it become unstable. The company offers a quick response, emergency call out service twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and they say they are prepared for any additional work this years El Nino may cause.
