The stream that runs through the grounds is home to a watercress garden, and a kitchen garden grows salad and herbs for the chef to help himself to.
Opened by Grenada’s then Prime Minister in 2009, the hotel has become a supporter of the local economy by employing local people. It also sources produce from the local growers and fishermen.

“Some people express a concern about not visiting the Caribbean in the summer time in case there is a hurricane, but to be honest, there is quite a low chance of one occurring, particularly down here in the south”, he added.
