The month of May will see better selection and prices for Dwarf Nandinas (Fire Power),Japanese Hollies,Crepe Myrtles, Hydrangeas and most evergreen bushes and trees.

Winter was mild and the greenhouses produced a hearty supply of plants for the May planting season. The news of better supply and more consistent quality was welcomed by Wayne Stephenson, Owner and operator.

A welcome expansion to the growing operation will be the May launch of new "plant cutting greenhouses" to the wholesale nursery operation. Stephenson remarked, "Twenty five thousand cuttings will be the end result of this first planting. That will translate into better consistency and offerings for the loyal customers of the nursery."

The rooting houses and cuttings give the grower a financial advantage when the plants are ready for market. Lower costs to the grower creates lower prices for the buyers and Stephenson's wholesale nursery is expanding with an aggressive campaign to meet buyer requests.
