Spatula Desserts Launches Live Tutorials for Budding Bakers

Baking expert Katalin Nagy will host the online sessions to help baking enthusiasts take their skills to the next level.

Would-be bakers can put their skills to the test thanks to a series of live online classes being hosted by baking expert Katalin Nagy.

Katalin, who runs the live tutorials through her baking advice hub Spatula Desserts, is offering budding bakers the chance to hone their skills for making French macarons in her next live session.

Spatula Desserts offers baking enthusiasts a comprehensive directory of advice, tutorials and recipes. Katalin’s ‘how to’ guides range from making crispy classic French eclairs from scratch at home to chocolate sponge cake and Creamy Sicilian Ricotta Pie.

Katalin said: “I love creating new recipes and teaching them to others using the baking skills I have acquired over the years. Many people love the idea of baking, but they lack the confidence to just go for it. That is where the step-by-step guides really help and I see their confidence grow with every recipe they learn and master.”

Spatula Desserts not only features hundreds of different recipes, Katalin has created a Baking 101 guide so everyone can learn the basics. The guide focuses on ingredients, techniques, equipment and some baking science. It includes tips on how to make cupcakes moist inside, how to create various nut butters, how to store baked items and opened ingredients, and advice on why a sponge cake might sink in the middle.

The Spatula Desserts recipe directory is a mouth-watering selection of cakes, cheesecakes, ice creams, cookies, tarts and pies, and sweet breads.

She said: “There are hundreds of recipes for people to try at home and they are all fool proof. That is what Spatula Desserts is all about. I wanted to ensure baking was open to anyone who wanted to try. The recipes are all easy to follow and easy to get right.”
