Yorkshire based Solar and Green have announced that they have won a contract with Lewis’s Ice Cream Factory to install a 32 array of solar panels at the traditional commercial enterprise in Hoole in Chester. —
Lewis’s have been established since 1888. Using traditional methods, the quality of the ice cream is so high that they have been able to thrive when most other ice makers have had to stop operations due to economic factors and a dwindling demand.
Recently Lewis’s have decided to take a more modern stance, at least where their energy consumption is concerned. The business has always had an interest in conservation since their early days. In recognition of that value, Solar and Green have been awarded the job of as their solar panel installersfor Lewis’s at the site of L Lewis’s so that the business can now be run on renewable power.
