-- Australia’s #1 news service today announced the launch of Seven’s National News at Noon, a new hour-long live news bulletin presented by acclaimed journalist Natarsha Belling, to air 12.00pm weekdays on Seven and 7plus from Monday.
Belling is one of Australia’s most trusted and versatile journalists and news presenters, with more than 30 years’ experience bringing Australians the news stories that have changed and shaped our lives.
Born and raised in country NSW, Belling’s skill and passion for news and sharing people’s stories have made her one of Australia’s most respected broadcasters for her work across television, radio and podcasting.
Seven’s National News at Noon will deliver viewers breaking news and updates from Australia and abroad.
From finance and health to consumer affairs and property, the new bulletin will also include interactive panel chats, special reports and feature segments on the stories that matter to all Australians from 7NEWS’ national news desk and team of reporters.
Seven’s Director of News and Current Affairs and Seven West Media Editor-in-Chief, Anthony De Ceglie, said: “We’re really honoured and excited that Tarsh has joined the 7NEWS team for what will be a brand new and truly national 12 noon news bulletin.
“At such a critical time in world and national affairs, particularly with a federal election around the corner, it's only fitting that Seven is delivering more news to Australians in the most dynamic way possible.
“We believe there is a big opportunity to connect with viewers who want the latest news and breaking stories during that vital lunchtime period of the day,” he said.
Belling said: “I'm absolutely thrilled to join the 7NEWS team and be part of this innovative new news bulletin.
“Seven’s National News at Noon will be more than just headlines; it’s about breaking the major stories of the day and analysing and investigating the issues that matter most to our audience.
“News never stops and I feel incredibly privileged to be working with such an outstanding team of journalists, producers and crew at 7NEWS to deliver the very latest as it happens,” she said.
