Prentus Raises Funding to Transform Career Success

Share this news:

-- Prentus, creator of the first truly all-in-one career success ecosystem, today announced it has raised strategic funding to accelerate its mission of democratizing access to career opportunities. The round was led by Potencia Ventures and LearnLaunch, with participation from industry luminaries including Jamie Farrell (founding COO of Trilogy Education) and Jonathan Finkelstein (founder of Credly).

Unlike single-purpose AI resume tools, Prentus reimagines the entire career development journey. Its platform combines AI-powered tools, community features, and gamification to deliver the first solution that learners actually want to use – driving engagement rates three times higher than traditional career platforms.

"We are proud to back Prentus because they're not just streamlining career services - they are building the connective tissue between learning and earning," said Ana Aristizabal, Director and Head of Investments in Education and Workforce at Potencia Ventures. "Prentus is unlocking faster pathways to employment, improving higher-education outcomes, and expanding access to hidden opportunities for all learners - not just the well-connected."

In a market saturated with point solutions, Prentus stands out by addressing core challenges faced by both students and institutions. The platform replaces up to six disconnected tools with a unified system that transforms how career services departments operate. This innovative approach has already propelled Prentus to profitability ahead of this funding round – a rare milestone that highlights the market’s unmet need.

"What set Prentus apart for us is their unique focus on the student experience and their deep understanding of their customers' needs," said LearnLaunch General Partner Matt Rubins. "We're excited to support Prentus in this next phase of growth."

Prentus's impact includes:

  • Students find jobs 54% faster than with traditional methods
  • Graduates secure positions with a median starting salary of $70,000
  • 75% of students continue actively using the platform after 30 days
  • Career services teams operate three times more efficiently

Major educational institutions like DeVry University and Miami Dade College have adopted Prentus across their student populations, signaling a shift away from fragmented career services technologies.

"When we looked for a platform that can serve the needs of modern learners and careers, we knew it had to offer an ecosystem of interconnected tools," said Richard Korczyk, Chief Experience Officer at DeVry University. "Prentus offered that and also ensured that we kept our advising team firmly at the center of the experience so that technology and talented professionals could work together to help our graduates succeed."

Prentus was founded by Rod Danan, a first-generation immigrant who experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating career development without connections. His goal? Do for job searching what Duolingo did for language learning: make it approachable, engaging, and effective for everyone, not just those with privileged networks.

The new investment will fuel Prentus's continued growth, enabling expansion of institutional partnerships, enhancement of its native AI capabilities with new interview and advising tools, and creation of direct employer pathways that break down barriers to opportunity.
