PHINIA Exhibits Comprehensive Gasoline Solutions, Launches New "Dash" Character at Automechanika Shanghai 2025

-- PHINIA Inc. (NYSE:PHIN), a leader in premium fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions, will showcase its comprehensive range of gasoline vehicle components at Automechanika Shanghai 2025 (Booth No. 2.1H E48). PHINIA’s exhibit features its latest suite of components, including gasoline direct injection (GDi) fuel pumps, electric water pumps, ignition coils and spark plugs, sensors, and thermal management components.

Building on more than a century of original equipment (OE) technical expertise, PHINIA remains committed to helping maintenance enterprises gain a competitive edge through highly compatible, cost-effective OE-quality product combinations.

At the exhibition, PHINIA’s premium aftermarket brand, Delphi, unveiled its new character image, Dash. The youthful, dynamic brand ambassador is designed to connect with Asia-Pacific market users through a fresh and engaging brand identity. Integrating Delphi’s technical heritage with approachability, Dash will serve as a key brand symbol for Delphi in the region, strengthening emotional connections with repair shops, car owners, and other groups through diversified scenario-based communications.

New Product Focus: Breaking the "High Cost of OE Quality" Barrier, Reshaping Aftermarket Fuel System Value

OE-matched fuel pumps are known for high quality and reliability, but they can often be perceived as overpriced for customers. Leveraging its century-long OE technical and manufacturing expertise, Delphi has successfully introduced OE-quality GDi fuel pumps to the aftermarket. Delphi fuel pumps maintain OE-level performance and durability while enabling repair shops to meet customers' expectations for high-quality components and control operating costs.

Core Product Portfolio: Precise Balance Between OE Quality and Market Value

  • Ignition Coil & Spark Plug Combination: Delphi's "ignition coil + spark plug" combination – known as a "performance pair" in the aftermarket – features proprietary steel core materials and precision winding technology. Each coil undergoes 230 hours of thermal cycle testing to ensure reliability under extreme conditions. The matching spark plugs feature precious metal electrode designs to enhance combustion efficiency, improving both power and fuel economy. The range currently extends over 80% of major vehicle makes in China, including 98% of German and over 90% for Japanese and Korean brands. Delphi will continue to expand its part number portfolio to increase compatibility.
  • Full-Range Sensors: Covering 17 categories, including ABS, oxygen, air flow, and NOx sensors, Delphi’s lineup uses advanced technology to monitor vehicle operating conditions in real time and enhance driving safety. Delphi is a leader in rolling out NOx sensors across South Korea to meet strict emission regulations. These sensors will soon be available in China and other Asia-Pacific regions, helping repair shops prepare in advance.
  • Thermal Management, Braking, Lubrication, and Battery Products: This full-service ecosystem supports both traditional fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles. Thermal management components ensure precise temperature control of core parts; brake discs and pads balance safety and durability; lubricants reduce engine wear; and battery products meet diverse maintenance needs. The components reflect the diversified growth of the market.

Strategy Launch: Advancing Sustainability Today to Power a Cleaner Tomorrow

As a longstanding supplier of OE-quality products and solutions, PHINIA applies OE standards and quality controls throughout its aftermarket operations, ensuring technical and quality consistency from OE to aftermarket. The company also supports repair shops with technical training and diagnostic guidance to enhance service professionalism.

During the "advancing sustainability today to power a cleaner tomorrow” strategy launch event held on the 26 November, Neil Fryer, Vice President & General Manager of PHINIA Global Aftermarket; Hank Yang, Vice President & General Manager of PHINIA Fuel Systems Asia-Pacific; and Dominic Moran, General Manager of PHINIA Asia-Pacific, shared strategic updates across global aftermarket, OE innovation and regional business growth.

Further, PHINIA signed a scholarship donation agreement during the event with Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry. The agreement reinforced the company’s commitment to nurturing future industry talent.

Neil Fryer, Vice President & General Manager of PHINIA Aftermarket Global, said: "Delphi is committed to bringing OE-quality technology to the aftermarket. Our goal is to help maintenance enterprises improve service efficiency, expand business boundaries, and achieve above-industry-average growth through our highly compatible, stable, and cost-effective products."

As the Asia-Pacific car parc continues to grow, aging vehicles are driving increased maintenance demand. Meanwhile, the dual development of new energy and traditional fuel vehicles is accelerating market demand for diversified, high-quality components. Delphi will continue to increase R&D investment, accelerate new product launches, and collaborate closely with maintenance enterprises to unlock aftermarket growth potential and consolidate its leading position in the market.
