-- Jack C. Rockefeller announced today he will establish his namesake foundation in his adopted hometown of Salt Lake City. Although the foundation will be based in Utah, Rockefeller plans to take on projects around the globe.
Rockefeller said, "I intend to take a very hands-on approach. I anticipate board members will announced in the fall along with a handful of initial projects". The foundation will fund community enhancement projects and provide assistance to outside groups.
The Jack C. Rockefeller Foundation serves to strengthen the disadvantaged, create opportunity, and promote cohesion among society. The foundation, headquartered in Salt Lake City, and led by its founder, Jack Rockefeller, seeks to effect social change and improve quality of lives of people around the world.
