Now Health International Advances Digital Strategy With New Mobile Pass Launch

International health insurance provider Now Health International has expanded their digital strategy with the introduction of a new mobile pass. With the pass, members no longer need a physical card to access health services.

International health insurance company Now Health International has launched a mobile pass membership card as part of their digital strategy. This move makes the company one of the first in the international health insurance sector to release such a pass.

The mobile pass is intended to provide a convenient, environmentally friendly product to customers who may be traveling or living abroad. It allows for a digital download of the customer's membership card, which they can then display on their phone when visiting medical service providers. The pass has been developed as part of the company's efforts to go green and to develop their digital strategy.

Growing the Now Health International digital strategy

Now Health International is a brand providing international health insurance coverage to expatriates and others who might be in a foreign country long-term. It offers an alternative to traditional travel insurance, which is largely only intended to provide short-term protection and may only include basic medical coverage.

The new mobile pass has been developed together with PassKit, a leading name in mobile wallet technology. Instead of having to carry a printer membership card, it means that members can download a digital version of their card and use it instantly, wherever they go. The mobile pass includes essential information for customers to present when visiting medical providers, such as their membership number and plan expiry date. It also has a "click to call" feature, which allows the user to call the company's customer service team.

Convenience for customers

Now Health International has also chosen to integrate the mobile pass with their other digital tools. These include the secure online portfolio and smartphone app. The aim is to provide a seamless mobile and digital experience to their customers. The pass also has a scannable barcode, enabling medical providers to use a specially developed app to get all the information they need about the patient's eligibility. Up-to-date information from the company's database avoids the problem of outdated membership cards.

Now Health International has developed the mobile pass for Apple Wallet and Google Pay, with four languages available. Members can use it in English, Bahasa, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. To begin with, the pass is available on just one plan, SimpleCare, but will soon be available for all members.

Martin Garcia, Executive Chairman, said: "Our new mobile pass membership card is a key milestone in our ongoing digital journey as we work to integrate new technologies across all aspects of our business, for the benefit of both our customers and our operations.”
