Stefanacci is the founder and executive producer of the event, staged through his company, Sweet Lion Music Group. The event carries the slogan "One Night. One Mission," reflecting its structure: rather than treating a tribute as a segment within a larger concert, Smooth Jazz for Heroes is built around the tribute itself, with first responders, military heroes, and their families placed at the center of the evening.
