-- From homestays converted from Ming and Qing Dynasty courtyards to morning mist photography at ancient bridges, and from huangjiu (rice wine) feasts to calligraphy gatherings, Shaoxing is developing immersive cultural-tourism scenarios centered on "life aesthetics", becoming a focal destination under the spotlight of Singaporean citizens. According to the recently released <Report on Inbound Tourism Preferences of Southeast Asian Tourists>, Shaoxing ranks among the top three "Most Anticipated Jiangnan Cities".
Shaoxing's cultural and tourism sector has accurately aligned with the aesthetic needs of Singaporean tourists, focusing on promoting "slow travel experiences": At the Hometown of the Calligrapher (the former residence of Wang Xizhi), tourists can experience Song Dynasty-style hairpin adornment and calligraphy copying in homestays renovated from Ming and Qing courtyard buildings; during the morning mist at Bazi Bridge, visitors can easily capture the serene scene of ancient bridges wrapped in cooking smoke; restaurants such as Xunbaoji Zhuangyuan Building have launched "Jiangnan Aesthetics Set Meals", which pair local specialties like Shaoxing Sanxian (a stew with three fresh ingredients) and braised pork with preserved vegetables with huangjiu tasting, offering a dual feast for both taste and vision.

The 48-hour tour route launched this year perfectly integrates elements of life aesthetics: On the first morning, wander through the Xixiaolu Morning Market and savor sweet fermented glutinous rice wine; in the afternoon, take panoramic photos of Wupeng Boats (traditional covered wooden boats) at Tishan Bridge in the Hometown of the Calligrapher; in the evening, enjoy the immersive live performance at Shen Garden. On the second day, head to Angsang Lake to shoot the "Sky Mirror" scenery, then go to Lanting to experience the "Qushui Liushang" (a time-honored wine-drinking game by a winding stream); before departure, take home a customized cultural and creative folding fan with on-site calligraphy as a souvenir. The route's specially marked photography spots and niche experience sites are particularly popular among photography enthusiasts.
