— myNEXUS announces the hiring of Dr. (Hugh) Kelley Riley, MD, MBA as the company's Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Riley recently worked as Corporate Medical Director for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, where he took on a newly created position with an external focus on sales, marketing, account service and provider relations. Dr. Riley will help to strengthen the Benefits Management and remote digital health services offered by myNEXUS. He has significant experience in discovering and resolving health care fraud, waste and abuse and has worked with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurers.
"The myNEXUS Team is thrilled to have Dr. Kelley Riley join the organization, as he has consistently shown his commitment to improve healthcare for all. During his time at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Dr. Riley took on tasks that positively impacted more than 2.3 million members of the health insurance organization, along with their 15,000 customer companies. In addition, he was chairperson of the company's Patient Centered Medical Home Steering Committee and medical director of the company's comprehensive wellness solutions subsidiary Onlife Health. The knowledge he gained in these two areas will be of great benefit in his work here at myNEXUS,"" McArthur VanOsdale, president and CEO of myNEXUS, explains.
"During his time as Medical Director of WellCare Health Plans, Dr. Riley directed utilization management that included both inpatient and outpatient benefit delivery and investigated and resolved quality of care issues for facilities, providers and plan members. This is only one example of what he brings to the myNEXUS team. We will become even better as a result of his hiring," VanOsdale continues.
myNEXUS continues to disrupt traditional health care, and Dr. Riley brings his experience to a team of innovative thinkers and health improvement experts. The myNEXUS benefit management service is technology-driven and allows individuals to remain independent in their home for a longer period. Health care costs decrease, and 30-day readmissions are prevented as a result of the myNEXUS system, all while patient care improves.
"Dr. Riley is ready and willing to take myNEXUS to the next level, working to improve patient care even more. We are excited to have Kelley on the executive team and are confident he will have innovative ideas that will benefit all involved in healthcare, from the patient to the insurance providers," VanOsdale announces.
