More Women Teachers Applying For Physics Posts, According to Study —
Orchard Road, Singapore, April 19, 2019 - In US, around 40% of physics-related teachers are women. This is the data gathered by Alibaba Printing through a report studied by a prestigious institute overseas. To say the least, this is also the case in Singapore, and more and more lady professors are applying for university post under Physics major.
This report was based on various surveys that have taken place between year 2010 to 2018. It was an eighteen-year study and it only proves that more and more women are becoming more interested in this field of science. As a matter of fact, Sg Physics Coach, a physics tuition centre in Singapore, believes that this is becoming the norm. “It is actually true. Even here in Singapore, we notice that there is a growing number of women specializing in the physics subject and are starting young, for that matter,” says Mary See, senior coach of the centre. If you are interested in the centre’s physics tuition classes, you may check their website at https://physicstuitionsg.com.
“Our women teacher are actually 60% of our faculty members and that is a lot, really, when compared back in the days when male professors were the norm,” adds See. In addition, there was also a study that imposes that women are better physics instructors than men. While this is yet to be proven, students from the centre agree. Most of them choose women teachers because they are said to be more patient, especially to younger students. For more information, you may check the data here.
