Military Muscle partner with Grassroots rugby team, Chesterfield Panthers

Military Muscle is donating a large number of special edition tee-shirts to grassroots rugby team Chesterfield Panthers RUFC, celebrating the club’s recent centenary.

Military Muscle - a bodybuilding supplement company - is partnering with the Chesterfield Panthers, a grassroots rugby team, to celebrate the club’s recent centenary.

The brand will supply a large number of special edition Panther Rugby tee shirts for the club to sell to help it raise much-needed funds to keep it afloat during COVID-19.

Military Muscle is the brainchild of Benjamin Bunting - a rugby player, soldier and fitness enthusiast. He set up the brand in 2015 to help people who had seen lacklustre results from other muscle-building products gain muscle. The company is now seeking to help the Chesterfield Panthers, a community club that has been hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

During the first wave of the pandemic in March 2020, the club had to shut down the clubhouse to comply with government regulations. Later in the summer, it was able to reopen partially, but social distancing restrictions remain in place.

On October 17, Chesterfield Panthers chairman, Chris Cooper, confirmed that the club remains at Stage D on the RFU roadmap. Players can take part in low and medium risk training activities, but cannot return to full contact match play until restrictions are lifted.

Military Muscle is also now the club’s official nutrition partner - something that both parties hope will help to combat child obesity in the region and promote healthier eating across senior and youth teams.

In a statement, Bunting said that he hoped that the new dietary regimes would help “teams improve performance,” helping the club snap back into action once the government lifts restrictions on the club.

Military Muscle has made profound changes to its ingredients and formulations to make them healthier and more transparent. According to the company, “supplements have been sold to the public that include unproven ingredients, low doses, and even hidden blends.” Now the company is changing its manufacturing process to ensure that it is suitable for vegans, vegetarians and those on a plant-based diet.
