MERED, the award-winning international real estate developer, has unveiled the Bay Villas, an exclusive collection of five luxury villas in Abu Dhabi, located within its landmark Riviera Residences development on Al Reem Island.
Designed as a highly individual residence, each Bay Villa takes its name and creative inspiration from an iconic destination along the French Riviera. The collection brings together the timeless elegance of Mediterranean living with the cultural and architectural identity of Abu Dhabi.
Riviera Residences has been designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron, while the interiors of the Bay Villas have been created by London-based design studio Dseesion.
A defining feature of each residence is its private internal courtyard. Inspired by regional architectural traditions, these landscaped spaces allow natural light to flow through the home while providing residents with greater privacy, tranquillity and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Positioned directly above the waterfront promenade, the Bay Villas offer uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf and the Al Reem Island skyline. The Bay Villas form part of Riviera Residences’ wider collection of more than 400 apartments and 11 villas, including Sky Villas and a penthouse. The development will also feature an elegant waterfront promenade with boutique retail, refined dining and cafés, creating a vibrant destination for residents and visitors.
Amenities across Riviera Residences include four swimming pools, wellness and leisure facilities, sophisticated residents’ lounges, a Sky Garden on the 17th floor and five themed children’s zones. More than 15,000 plants will be integrated throughout the development to establish a lush, private, and resort-inspired environment.
The landscape architecture has been conceived by Paris-based Michel Desvigne Paysagiste in close collaboration with Herzog & de Meuron. The landscape has been designed as an integral part of the development, helping to create shade, enhance privacy, improve the microclimate, and reinforce the feeling of waterfront seclusion.
The launch comes amid continued growth in Abu Dhabi’s premium property market. According to the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre, the emirate recorded AED 66 billion in real estate transactions during the first quarter of 2026, its strongest quarterly performance to date. Al Reem Island accounted for approximately AED 9 billion in transactions, further strengthening its position as one of the capital’s most active investment destinations.
Located within the Abu Dhabi Global Market district, Riviera Residences occupies a prime first-line waterfront location.
