The New Chapter Initiative: Healing Beyond the Skin
The New Chapter Initiative is a year-round program that offers complimentary tattoo removal to survivors of sex trafficking and domestic violence, as well as gang-involved youth in New York City impacted by the child welfare system.
MALC understands that forced or coerced tattoos often carry deep emotional weight. That’s why every treatment is provided through a trauma-informed, survivor-centered approach - at each person’s pace, and on their terms. Care is thoughtfully coordinated alongside each participant’s existing support network, allowing tattoo removal to be one step in a much larger journey toward healing, autonomy, and reclaiming one’s body.
