“Everything is in flux.” It's a life credo that Mark White often repeats, and it manifests in his whirling kinetic sculptures and shimmering patined engravings on aluminum. It seems fitting that over the next month the artist and gallerist's work will be flying away in an equally dynamic manner. Mark White's second annual online art auction starts today and, true to its founder's ethos, things will be moving fast. —
Mark White's entire stable has submitted work for the February event, which runs from January 31 at 10:00 am to February 28 at 4:45 pm. The gallery will run the auction on their website at www.markwhitefineart.com, where all available pieces and live updates of current bids will be displayed. Bids start at 60% off the retail price of the work and move in $100 increments, with a special “Buy Now” price at 30% off the retail value.
Auction participants must register through an online form available on the website and provide their credit card information to Mark White over the phone. Registered collectors may then place bids by phone or email.
Notable works in this year's auction include patined engravings on copper by Mark White, horse sculptures by Siri Hollander, abstract oil paintings by Javier Lopez Barbosa, mixed media paintings by Charles Veilleux, patined engravings on aluminum by Ethan White and figurative acrylic paintings by Gino Hollander.
Mark White Fine Art is located at 414 Canyon Road, and Mark White Contemporary Art is at 1611 Railyard Road. Mark White or Charles Veilleux can be contacted at email@example.com for any enquiries.
