-- The Malaysian High Court confirmed on 10 October 2025, that the Artist Agreement dated 1 January 2020 between Capital A’s entertainment venture RedRecords Sdn Bhd (“RedRecords”) and Jannine Parawie Weigel (“Jannine”) remains valid, binding and enforceable.

The Court also granted the relief of specific performance, ordering the artist to comply with the terms of the agreement.

Under the Artist Agreement, RedRecords holds exclusive rights in relation to Jannine’s entertainment activities, including the authority to determine song releases and manage commercial engagements.

The Court found that Jannine had breached the terms of the agreement by independently releasing music and entering into engagements without the required consent from RedRecords. Any reports suggesting that Jannine is still free to carry out her entertainment activities without consent from RedRecords are inaccurate and contrary to the High Court’s decision.

RedRecords reaffirms its full commitment to upholding the terms of the Artist Agreement and to supporting the broader music and entertainment industry.
