Lou Syphers, best-selling author and the founder of Abundance and Beyond, is making waves in the finance world by empowering women to take control of their financial futures. Born and raised in the scenic Dandenong Ranges outside of Melbourne, Lou’s journey to becoming a leader and mentor was far from ordinary. Her early career saw her take on roles in dental clinics and the pharmaceutical industry, where she quickly excelled in sales and finance, eventually paving her way into mortgage broking.

After years of working long hours and struggling with a demanding work environment, she made the courageous decision to walk away from a toxic job in 2019. With the support of a self-development course and her close-knit community, Lou launched her own business, Abundance and Beyond, where she mentors women to achieve financial freedom.
“I realized there were so many women who felt overwhelmed by their finances, especially after life changes like divorce or career transitions,” Lou explains. “I wanted to show them that financial independence is not only achievable but essential for their personal growth and security.”

Lou’s vision extends beyond individual success. She’s committed to addressing the gender imbalance in the mortgage broking industry, where women make up only 25% of professionals. Lou regularly speaks at national conferences, advocating for more women to enter and excel in the finance world.
