-- On the 14th December 2018, some of the UK’s top IT companies gathered together in London to attend a prestigious awards ceremony. After all the handshakes and greetings, everyone settled down to enjoy the proceedings. There was a definite buzz of excitement in the air as the room waited in anticipation for the results.
During the ceremony, it was announced that London-based IT company Netstar IT was one of the winners of this highly acclaimed award. Founded in 2002, Netstar has been growing year by year as it provides fully managed IT support and technology consulting services. Through lots of hard work, the business has grown to support over 100 clients throughout London and the South East. The managing director at Netstar, Mit Patel, was overjoyed with this new award. He had this to say when interviewed at the ceremony: “This award means a lot to us, as it demonstrates all the hard work our team puts in to ensure we operate to the highest standard”. The competition was fierce, and any company that made the top 50 can be proud of their achievement.
There were 10 winners in total, establishing each company as one of the top 10 managed IT companies in the country. There were no specific rankings between the winners; each one walked away with a highly coveted glass trophy.
An Award With A Big Reputation
The 50 Best Managed IT Companies Awards may be in its infancy, but it comes with a considerable reputation. They’re run by an international channel marketing company called TechnoPlanet, who specialises in the technology industry. With a massive presence in North America, they’ve recently been trying to expand into the UK market. They created this award - in partnership with Transmentum - with the aim to recognise all the managed IT companies that are genuinely operating their businesses with extreme effectiveness.
All entrants had to fill in an application form and prove that they ran their business by using best practices. TechnoPlanet outlined 12 different business categories that they would judge each company by, and all entrants were ranked fairly and randomly. Scores were given based on how well the applicants performed in regards to the 12 best practices.
Transmentum provided all eight judges for this award, in a bid to bring some UK knowledge to the table. Every company was evaluated blind, meaning that no judges knew the names of the businesses they were judging. This helped create the fairest results possible and resulted in the final 10 companies being unveiled.
What Next?
The Awards night was seen as a massive success from everyone involved, and it’s certainly stirred up a lot of competition in the IT industry. Netstar walked away as one of the big winners, and the company is intent on continuing to deliver a high-quality service to try and retain their status in the top 10 next year.
