A new era of fitness has begun to show itself around the country in the form of bootcamp style fitness centers. Leading the way is Miami-based bootcamp gym, Legacy Fit, specializing in high intensity partner interval training. One of the top franchise opportunities in the country today, — Legacy Fit is scheduled to open a franchise in Summerville, SC in mid to late October.
“We're on schedule for an October opening,” commented co-owner and trainer, Dominic Mariotti. “We've got our trainers lined up and are super excited to have Leigh Ann Thomas among them!”
Joining M. Alex Hellman and Mariotti on the training staff, Leigh Ann Thomas brings six years of private personal training experience through her own company, LA Body, LLC. An International Sports and Science Association certified personal trainer, Thomas has gained a reputation in the Charleston area as a relatable but hard-nosed physical trainer.
“I take pride in being a friendly and relatable person,” Thomas explained. “But when it comes to working out and training people to improve their health and lives, I don't mess around.”
Having spent a great deal of time working with women in the Charleston area, Thomas is excited to bring a large female presence into Legacy Fit Summerville to experience the intense workouts and equally intense results.
“Most women don't realize that we can do this type of workout just as well as the guys,” Thomas continued. “Women of all shapes and sizes can do this. At Legacy Fit, we offer classes for every lifestyle and level of fitness.”
While female personal trainers are not at all uncommon in this era of equality, Thomas brings an enthusiasm and outlook on exercise not often found in the physical fitness industry.
“Group exercise, especially high intensity programs, are exciting and give people a chance to get to their fitness goals more efficiently and quickly,” the trainer explained. “The Legacy Fit way of training includes proper nutrition and mental health, and that is an all-inclusive form of physical fitness that the Charleston area has long been lacking.”
An ESPN Radio Charleston sports personality, Thomas is well known in the community as the representative woman for South Carolina sports. A one-time student at the College of Charleston, Thomas studied Nursing and Health Administration and discovered a fondness for collegiate level sports and overall physical fitness.
“Legacy Fit is affording me an opportunity to really spread my wings as a personal trainer,” Thomas continued. “Having access to state-of-the-art equipment and teaching group classes has me very motivated to become a better, more influential trainer than I've ever been.”
Scheduled to open in late October, Legacy Fit Summerville is offering discounted membership pricing for early sign-up through October 15th. According to owner Mariotti, those who sign up to take advantage of the pre-opening pricing will enjoy the discount for the life of their membership.
