Recent benchmark testing by Litero.ai evaluated Grader for Teachers using five large language models, including GPT-5, Gemini 2.5, and Claude 4 - across 60 student essays. AI-generated scores were compared to human grades on a 4.3 Grade Point Average (GPA) scale, the standard measure used by U.S. universities (where an “A” equals 4.0 and “B” equals 3.0).
Results showed that the system maintained an average difference of 0.2 grade points from teacher-assigned scores, with minimal variation (0.142 standard deviation) across repeated tests. Each report included rubric-based scoring, written feedback, and recommendations for improvement.
