Links between Social Media Use and Depression Explored in Poulin's Latest Book

Experts warn our nation's teens and young adults are spending an alarming percentage of their time interacting through social media; many could be showing the warning signs of depression. Trevor Poulin's new book addresses people's concerns.

Bestselling author Trevor Poulin has released a new book, titled "Social Media Depression: Overcome the Unintended Effects of Our Favourite Pastime." The book is now available at all major book retailers.

The book is a concise and easy-to-read guide discussing the communication trends unique to social media; and the effects those trends could be having upon teens and young adults. The book doesn't discourage social media use. Instead, it teaches social media users how to avoid any negative effects.

"Being aware of any potential effects is the first step to avoiding them," said Trevor Poulin, author of the book. "The danger is, many people aren't aware of the potential effects. People need to understand a problem before they can take action to avoid it."

The book is available now on in both paperback and Kindle eBook editions. The book is also available in other eBook formats from Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo. The book will be available in brick-and-mortar bookstores in the coming weeks.
