Internet millionaire, lifestyle design expert and Founder of, Ryan Moran, was the featured guest on Influencers Radio show with Jack Mize, discussing the techniques he uses to help people achieve bigger results by doing less.

During the interview, Moran discussed the five pillars that are essential to living a life of purpose, freedom and fulfillment.

Moran explains “These five pillars are (1) decide what you want; (2) cut out what does not serve you; (3) invest in yourself and your profits; (4) expand your income; and (5) give back to inspire and help others.”

“I think a lot of people are doing a lot of “doing” and not “getting” what they thought they would be getting even though they’re doing a lot more than what they thought they were going to be doing.”

Moran discovered early in life that there’s not a connection between how much a person works and how much money they earn. The amount of value a person creates, Moran says, is what really determines how much money is earned.

Once he determined that no correlation existed between the amount of time spent performing an activity and the amount of money it produced, he made a much more important discovery. Working less by minimizing or eliminating what he calls “buffer activities” while focusing on “results-driven activity will actually increase income while freeing up the time to allow a person to achieve a life of purpose, freedom and fulfillment.

Moran identified very specific habits that entrepreneurs develop that fall into the “buffer activity” or “results-driven activity” categories. He used this information to develop a system to keep himself on course to work less and earn more.

Moran began sharing his system of “Lifestyle Design” with others, proving that the principles and strategies could apply to many different individuals and professions.

“I think it’s very important for not just entrepreneurs, but even people who are working a forty-hour a week job, to look at what activities they are participating in that are producing value versus what is wasted time, what is time that could be better spent. What is time that somebody else could use to produce value,” said Moran.

Moran also emphasized the importance of streamlining communication in the workplace for enhanced efficiency.

“Without a clear goal of what we’re after when we’re communicating, a lot of time gets wasted in email land and talking on the phone land and meeting land,” said Moran. “If we can identify what the clear and actionable result is of why we’re meeting, of what the email is for, of what the communication is for, then we can cut down on the confusion and lack of clarity and as a result, we can identify a lot of wasted time that comes from bad communication.”

On the radio show, Moran also discussed why he first became committed to bettering the lives of others. Moran realized early on that he would never get the results he wanted in life if he were dependent on someone else. The economic downturn in 2007 and 2008 followed by the subsequent government bailout inspired Moran to take his message nationwide.

Moran continues to be passionate about empowering others to take responsibility for their own personal happiness, success and security on his podcast “Freedom Fast Lane,” covering a wide variety of topics, including investing, health and fitness, and, more broadly, how to achieve a life of purpose and fulfillment by working less and achieving more.
