Families are invited to attend this fun indoor/outdoor back-to-school event on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to collect 1 FREE backpack per student 18 years of age or younger and then stay for free snacks and entertaining activities. K-12 students must be present to receive a backpack.
Families planning to attend should be aware that backpacks and food quantities are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
“Every child should feel excited and ready for the first day of school,” said founding attorney Glen Lerner. “But for many families, the rising cost of school supplies can take away from that excitement and turn what should be a happy time into a stressful one. That’s exactly why these events matter. In addition to this year’s 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, our legal team has donated over 6,000 backpacks to students in the Chicago metro area since 2020, along with more than 25,000 in other markets we serve. Just like in previous years, we hope our 2025 giveaway helps ease that financial burden and ensures kids walk into class feeling confident and prepared.”
Lerner and Rowe will distribute a total of 6,700 backpacks filled with school supplies in seven cities across the United States for 2025, including Chicago, Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Bullhead City, Yuma, Phoenix, and Tucson. Chicago marks the final stop on this year’s tour. These free backpack giveaways are just one of the many ways the law firm gives back to local youth and families.
