-- Leo Hamel Fine Jewelry & Engagement Ring Store, a San Diego-based jewelry dealer, is announcing their participation in the 20th annual Girl Scouts San Diego fundraiser titled the “Urban Campout.” The fundraiser will take place on Friday, September 15, 2017, at 6-11 p.m. at the Balboa Campus.
This year’s fundraiser marks the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting in San Diego. This milestone event will be chaired by Liza Crisafi and co-chaired by the past Board Chair Katie Sullivan and her daughters Megan Delgado, Lindsay Estrada and Sarah Houghton.
Leo Hamel’s has donated jewelry items for the fundraiser’s silent auctions since 2008, and this year will be no exception. Additionally, Leo Hamel’s will offer a number of jewelry items for sale at the event and donate a portion of the proceeds to the Girl Scouts.
The proceeds from the fundraiser are intended to help fund the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, as well as the programs focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), life skills, outdoor training, and entrepreneurship.
