-- Leo Hamel Fine Jewelry & Engagement Ring Store, a well-known jewelry dealer from San Diego, has the pleasure of announcing the exhibition of vintage and rare Hermès scarves obtained from a private collection. The exhibition will take place on Thursday August 17 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at their jewelry store located at 1851 San Diego Avenue, San Diego, CA 92110.

The private collection obtained for the exhibition numbers over 1100 Hermès scarves, some of which date all the way back to 1937, when Hermès first started making scarves. The collection even features items with original sales tags attached, which were never worn.

Many scarves in the collection have equestrian themes, with a great number depicting hunting scenes, dogs, birds and other animals, flowers, ships/boating scenes, maps, Native Americans, Africa, Asia, Parisian buildings, landscapes, etc.

The collection on display will also feature rare and highly collectible items, such as Saumur by Jacques Nam, 1938 (a hard-to find item depicting dressage horse riding positions taught in a school in Saumur, France), Les Edifices de Paris 1806 by Hugo Grygkar 1957 (another rare item featuring famous buildings in Paris such as the Notre Dame Cathedral), Chiens de Meute by Xavier Poret 1959 (a rare scarf depicting a pack of dogs), and Le Moyen Age by Christiane Vauzelles 196 (an extremely rare and hard-to-find item).

Other scarves featured in the collection include vintage and like-new items: Napoleon by Philippe Ledoux 1963, Mexique by Cathy Latham 1985, Les Cheyenne by Kermit Oliver 1993, Cave Felem by Christine Henry 1998, Les Toits de Paris by Dimitri Rybaltchenko 2006, and many more.

The exhibition visitors will be able not only to admire the luxurious collection but also to purchase the scarves they like.

‘’We are honored to be able to present such a stunning collection as this. It gives us even greater joy that the visitors will be able to get hold of Hermès scarves they have coveted for so long.
