Keiser University Partners With G-Star School Of The Arts To Recognize Filmmakers At Opening Film Festival Party

As Palm Beach County high school filmmakers are lauded, former Bob Hope producer Dick Arlett will be presented a Lifetime Achievement Award in Film & Television.

West Palm Beach’s CityPlace will be abuzz with producers, directors and teen filmmakers as they kick off the opening night of the 2017 Palm Beach International Film Festival (PBIFF) presented by Keiser University and G-Star School of the Arts. The affair will be held on Wednesday, March 29 from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. at the Bowery Palm Beach located on the second floor of the complex at 550 South Rosemary Avenue in West Palm Beach, FL.

The red carpet event will offer a variety of meet and greet opportunities with producers, directors, screenwriters and local filmmakers as it honors local middle and high school students for their commitment to the film and television industry. Students will be awarded Youth Achievement in Film awards for participating in Keiser University Cell Phone Film events, and Young Artists in Film awards for finalists in the Burt Reynolds Scholarship Competition. In addition, producer Dick Arlett will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award in Film and Television for over 50 years of dedication to the entertainment industry, along with his commitment to mentoring students who are interested in a career in film or television.
