IO Summit Organica Reaches 75 Percent Exhibitor Capacity Ahead of Chicago Event Amid Rising Organic Sourcing Demand

With fewer than 15 exhibitor spots remaining, the inaugural curated sourcing summit enters its final month with a confirmed floor of organic-certified suppliers and qualified buyers across the food, nutraceutical, and cosmetics industries.

-- IO Summit Organica has reached 75 percent exhibitor capacity with fewer than 30 days before its July 12 debut in Chicago. Ingredients Online said the milestone reflects demand for more focused sourcing opportunities connecting qualified buyers with organic-certified suppliers.

IO Summit Organica’s exhibitor floor includes RIBUS, Capsugel, and Richardson among confirmed participants. The exhibitor base is heavily weighted toward food and beverage applications at 94 percent, reflecting a strong focus on core ingredient demand across the sector.

In addition, 71 percent of exhibitors offer functional ingredients and 59 percent serve the nutraceutical sector. Exhibitors represent five countries — the United States, Canada, India, China, and Japan — underscoring the international scope of the sourcing environment.

Registered buyers represent a cross-section of sourcing and product development roles, with purchasing, procurement, and business development professionals each accounting for 45 percent of attendance and C-level executives representing 29 percent.

Most registrants are actively sourcing new suppliers or open to new supplier relationships, representing 89 percent of attendance, with AI-powered matchmaking used to provide supplier recommendations to buyers prior to the event. Buyer demand is concentrated in organic ingredients at 58 percent, followed by functional ingredients at 51 percent and proteins at 44 percent.

“Organic buyers have specific certification requirements, traceability expectations, and budget considerations that are not always addressed in a general trade show setting,” said Sherry Wang, Founder and CEO of Ingredients Online. “The response in the early weeks suggests there has been sustained demand for a more targeted sourcing format.”

The event is scheduled for July 12, 2026, at Row 24 on South Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, with programming running from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Buyer admission is $50 and is open to qualified buyers.

Organizations seeking exhibitor space may apply directly, with a fee of $1,000. Fewer than 15 exhibitor spots remain as the summit enters its final phase of enrollment.
