-- The new edition adds a presentation in which Jeremy Griffith introduces what he calls the 'Deaf Effect,' his term for the initial difficulty he says people can experience when engaging with his analysis of the human condition.

International nonprofit Fix The World has released an expanded edition of THE Interview, combining Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith’s two introductions to his explanation of the human condition
The new edition combines Griffith’s 2020 interview with British actor Craig Conway with his 2026 presentation, Please, Please, Beware The ‘Deaf Effect’!, in which he introduces what he calls the ‘Deaf Effect’—his term for the difficulty people can initially experience when engaging with analysis of the human condition.
Griffith argues and believes that the human condition arose from an evolutionary conflict between humans’ developing conscious mind and their already established instincts, resulting in a defensive state that expresses itself as anger, egocentricity, and alienation.

In his new presentation, Griffith says humanity’s historical inability to explain its less-than-ideal behavior made the human condition a difficult subject to confront. He uses the term ‘Deaf Effect’ to describe the difficulty he says can consequently arise when people first encounter his explanation.
Griffith said, "Over time it became clear that people often shared the same initial difficulty when engaging with this explanation. This new presentation explains that response and encourages them to persevere with the material.”
