-- Summit gathered more than 150 student leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit representatives for discussions on artificial intelligence, leadership development, and student-led innovation.
InGenius Prep USA announced the successful conclusion of the 2026 US Teen Leadership Summit in Queens, New York, an education and youth leadership event that brought together more than 150 high school student leaders, educators, young entrepreneurs, and nonprofit representatives from across the United States.

The summit focused on leadership development, social innovation, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in education. Hosted by InGenius Prep USA, the event provided participants with opportunities for academic exchange, project presentations, mentorship, and collaboration.
As part of the program, ten student-led projects were selected as finalists and presented before a panel for evaluation and feedback. The projects addressed a range of areas, including technology development, community services, and cultural initiatives.
According to the organizers, the summit was created to support students in developing practical leadership skills while helping them advance ideas through mentorship and resource access. “This is more than a competition; it is a platform for students to showcase their work, gain recognition, and learn to turn ideas into action,” said Xueping Geng, Senior Director of the New York office of InGenius Prep.

The event also featured remarks from Katherine Otilia Zapata, Director of Education at the Office of the Queens Borough President, who discussed topics related to student development and community engagement.
Nonprofit organizations participated in sessions focused on public service and social impact. Stephanie Zabriskie, founder and executive director of HUMANCULTURE, spoke about how student-led initiatives can contribute to community services and cultural preservation through local engagement and documentation efforts.
Artificial intelligence remained a central topic throughout the summit. Joel Butterly, co-founder of InGenius Prep, discussed how AI technologies are influencing academic environments, including learning methods and coursework completion. He noted that while AI tools may support improved academic performance, they also present challenges related to maintaining depth of learning and evaluation standards.
Student participants also shared their experiences during the event. Isabella Liu, a Top 10 finalist and founder of Dance to Empower, stated that engaging with fellow student leaders created opportunities for collaboration and helped shape the future direction of her initiative.
In the technology category, Davis Meng, a Top 10 finalist and founder of Shotdoc, presented a sports data analysis system designed to provide real-time feedback for athletes. The project demonstrated the application of artificial intelligence and data technologies in sports training environments.
The summit concluded with networking sessions and collaborative discussions intended to encourage continued development of student-led initiatives and future partnerships among participants.
