Hottie Hair Salon opens online store offering celebrity-quality, human hair extensions to the general public.

-- Driven by her passion for hair, Crystal Frehner opened Hottie Hair Salon in 2010 with the help of her husband Mike Frehner. Success followed, and Hottie Hair is now one of the most reviewed salons in Las Vegas.

Shortly after opening, Crystal saw an important need she knew she could fill: demand for high quality hair extensions. Tapping into her expertise and experience, Crystal launched her Hottie Extensions line of celebrity quality hair.

“One of the biggest reasons I created Hottie Extensions was because I was tired of buying bad hair,” says Crystal. “It has been many years of trial and error, but this has allowed us to help save you all the headaches that I went through.”

The hair extensions market is booming. According to Esticast Research, the market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 4.1% between 2017 and 2022. New advancements have made it easier and more affordable to apply hair extensions.

After succeeding with in-salon sales, Crystal brought her Hottie Hair Extensions to the masses through the launch of her online store hottieextensions.com.

The online store makes celebrity-quality, real human hair extensions available to general public. To fill the needs of all customers, the store offers a wide range of extension types, from halo to clip-in, tape-in and I-tip.

The online store is designed to make the buying process as simple and painless as possible. Along with thorough descriptions of each product, the company includes helpful videos that explain how to wear the extensions.

Hottie Hair will also assist customers with finding the right color for their hair.

But it’s not the variety of products that sets Hottie Extensions apart from the competition; it’s the quality. Customers can get their hands on remy Russian hair – a rarity in the extensions world.

“Eighty four percent of the world population has black hair,” says Crystal. “The majority of hair extensions come from India where the population has primarily black hair. Second would be China where they also primarily have black hair. The rarest and the most expensive hair comes from Russia and eastern Europe where we can source non-black hair and high-quality black hair because it's texture blends very well with most other hair textures.”

Non-remy hair, as she explains, is hair that has fallen to the ground. The cuticles are not aligned in the same direction and may be damaged due to processing.

With remy hair, which is what Hottie Extensions is made with, all of the cuticles are properly aligned and in the same direction.

The company also offers virgin hair, which was not colored or bleached before it was donated.

To better understand the high quality of the hair offered by Hottie Extensions, Crystal explains the unofficial grading system used in the hair world: 1A being the lowest, and 7A being the highest. With 7A hair, the majority of the pieces are the same length from top to bottom. This hair is also known as “double drawn.”

Hottie Hair Extensions have the highest hair grade ratings, and the company offers virgin European hair in natural blonde and light brown colors. Most extensions start off black in color and are processed to remove the pigment and lighten the color.

The virgin, or unprocessed, hair offered by Hottie Hair can last up to two years or more with proper care.
To continue Crystal’s mission of offering quality hair, Hottie Hair Extensions now offers wholesale accounts to salon owners and licensed cosmetologists.
