International Hot Tub Company selling hot tubs, swim spas, massage chairs and fireplaces with stores in Denver, Boulder and Highlands Ranch shares, “Three Tips for a Brighter Outlook”.
“Celebrating National Optimism Month is a great start to developing a more positive attitude,” said Rich Hiner, president of International Hot Tub. “It is a chance to learn more about what optimism really is and how it can make life better.”
“Being optimistic helps people fight off depression, lowers blood pressure and decreases the chances of heart disease,” continued Hiner. “Even though the benefits are obvious, it isn’t natural or easy to be an optimist. It is far easier to be pessimistic, but the end results of that attitude are far less pleasant.” Here are three tips for having a brighter outlook
Pay Attention to Habits – Everyone has a pattern of self-talk that they use to interpret life events or situations. It is that talk that determines the emotional response to problems or distress. When learning to be more positive, the first step is to pay attention to how that voice responds to different events, and see where the negative patterns are.
Once they are identified, it is easier to stop them and change them into positive reflections and responses. Over time, it becomes more natural to conduct those inner conversations in a positive, happy way, and see the best resolutions for life’s problems.
People need to know that they have that power. That voice inside is not some renegade power, it is controlled by themselves. Training that voice to say “can” instead of “can’t,” “will instead of won’t,” and turning other negative phrases into positive ones will have a remarkable effect on the patterns of those conversations inside.
Practice Makes Perfect – When first turning negative attitudes into positive ones, be fair. It takes time, and there will be times it is hard to be optimistic and times people will fail in their attempts. As long as they do not stop trying, it will get better.
There’s no rest for the optimistic. Even after many trials and errors, and practicing, letting down the guard of optimism training lets negativity creep back in. The more people work on being positive, the stronger they will be in it, and as long as they continue to see things in a good light, it will be easier to be optimistic.
Create an Optimistic Atmosphere with a Boulder Hot Tub – Make surrounding areas at home, work or school as optimistic as possible. Little reminders everywhere can help spur positive thoughts throughout the day when things are going rough. However, the most concentration on a positive atmosphere should be at home. It is the refuge for everyone in the family, and it should be cheery and comfortable.
Adding a hot tub to the yard or patio increases the comfort levels and emotionally positive charge of the surroundings exponentially. Hot tubs are fun and vibrant, and come with many options to make them an all-around entertainment system.
Beyond their cheery atmosphere, the warm, comforting water and pounding massage jets, make them a great way to de-stress after a long day, and get rid of any troublesome negative feelings that may be lingering from dealing with frustrations or angry situations.
“In an effort to help educate the public on how hot tubs and hot water hydrotherapy can help improve health and well-being, IHT will provide free hot tub test soaks at all their locations during the entire month,” said Jill Seng, marketing manager. They do recommend however that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute wet test call them ahead of time to reserve their spot.
