A dedication to sharing wisdom, empowering others, and pushing forward despite adversity, was validated

Dr. Delois Blakely (also referred to with the honorary title Queen Mother) was honored at the L. Ron Hubbard Residence in Bay Head, NJ, for her lifelong dedication to justice and human rights. On her 83rd birthday, she was recognized as a “Friend of Ron” for her tireless work on behalf of marginalized communities around the globe. Being acknowledged as a Friend of L. Ron Hubbard signifies a dedication to sharing wisdom, empowering others, and pushing forward despite adversity, in alignment with his philosophy of creating a better society.

While the event celebrated her remarkable contributions, it also highlighted the ongoing struggles she continues to confront. For over 55 years, Dr. Blakely has been a powerful advocate at the United Nations, fighting against poverty, inequality, and the denial of basic human rights. However, the same issues remain alarmingly prevalent today.

“It’s an honor to be here, but we must not forget the work still ahead,” Queen Mother remarked. “We are living in a world where the most vulnerable still suffer. Despite decades of efforts, human rights are too often ignored, and the systems of oppression persist.”

Dr. Blakely’s visit underscored the urgency of addressing these global crises. With poverty rampant, human trafficking rising, and countless communities still struggling, Queen Mother stands as a beacon of hope in the ongoing fight for justice.

As she accepted the honor as a “Friend of Ron,” Dr. Blakely reflected on the legacy of L. Ron Hubbard, someone who has inspired her. “Hubbard believed in the mind’s power to transform lives and challenge oppression. We must continue to be the force that pushes back against these injustices.”

Queen Mother’s recognition is not just a celebration of her past efforts but a call to action. She remains committed to uplifting those in need, reminding us all that the fight for human dignity is far from over.

Earlier this year, Dr. Blakely also spoke at the United Nations during the 18th annual Youth for Human Rights International Summit where she acknowledged the group’s continuing commitment to teaching human rights around the world. Youth for Human Rights, International, was inspired by L. Ron Hubbard’s message that “human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream.”

The L. Ron Hubbard Residence in Bay Head is a significant site for those looking to learn about the man whose groundbreaking work in the fields of mental health, philosophy, education, and community empowerment continues to impact people worldwide.
