Gravitas Pens has just launched on Kickstarter. They have brought on Funded Today to help bring their product to a wider audience and increase pledges for the duration of the campaign.About Gravitas Pens
Gravitas Pens are beautifully machined pens with a sleek and ludicrously comfortable design. Gravitas offers 3 different pens, a ballpoint twist, a roller ball and a fountain pen. Each pen is cnc machined to exact dimensions. The pens go through a cleaning cycle to remove any dirt and debris. They are bead blasted to a perfect even finish before being anodized. The pens are personally checked for quality and then assembled.
The fountain pen is a clean sleek design with a protective finial made from silicon nitride embedded into the end of the cap and barrel. The cap threads are triple start so the cap will come off in one twist. The section is generous in size at 28mm long, 12mm at its widest tapering down to 11mm. The section meets the body with a 60 degree step, to not be uncomfortable when holding for long periods of time.
The roller ball just like the fountain pen has a matching sleek design with protective finials made from silicon nitride embedded into the end of the cap and barrel. The cap threads are triple start so the cap will come off in one twist. The section is 12mm wide and 48mm long. Just like the fountain pen, the section meets the body with a 60 degree step, to not be uncomfortable when holding for long periods of time.
The twist pen is different to the matching fountain pen and rollerball. The design for the pen came from a variation of my concrete pens, it’s been refined with proportions considered from selling thousands of pens over the years. The pen has a twist action that smoothly extends Schmidt P8127 refill in and out with a gentle “snick snick”. A precise flat spot is machined into one side of the pen, it helps to grip the pen and stop any unwanted rotation and slippage in the hand. Not only does it help with grip, it makes it an anti-roll pen that sits on your desk looking sleek and menacing with a slight angle giving it a dramatic look.

Gravitas Pens is available to back now on Kickstarter. They are hopeful to see an increase in pledges with the help of Funded Today and their team. Once the campaign ends, the products are set to produce and ship to all backers by November 2020. The starting price for one Gravitas Twist Pen is $54 USD.
