-- The Seattle-based health technology company combines a screenless wellness band, a purpose-built app, personalized insights, and optional access to independent clinical care

For many people, starting a GLP-1 medication is only the beginning of a much larger health journey.
The prescription may come from a clinician, but much of the day-to-day experience happens between appointments. People are left managing dose schedules, meals, protein intake, hydration, sleep, activity, recovery, symptoms, cravings, and changes in weight, often across several unrelated apps, notes, reminders, and wearable devices.
GLPCare is attempting to bring those pieces together.
Founded in Seattle, GLPCare has developed a connected wellness platform designed around the routines of people using GLP-1 medications. Its system combines the screenless GLP Care Band, the GLPCare mobile app, personalized wellness insights, and optional access to independent licensed clinicians for people who need help determining whether treatment may be appropriate.
Rather than treating medication as the entire experience, GLPCare is built around a broader question: What happens during all the days between clinical visits?
From a Personal Frustration to a Connected Platform
GLPCare was founded by Dominique Randolph, a former Google engineer who began building the platform during his own GLP-1 journey.
Randolph lost more than 50 pounds, but found that the tools available to him did not provide a complete view of what was happening. One app handled medication reminders. Another tracked meals. A general fitness wearable collected health data but had no awareness of his treatment schedule. Other details were scattered across notes and daily check-ins.
Each tool captured one part of the experience, but none connected the full journey.
That frustration became the foundation for GLPCare: a system intended to view medication timing, wellness signals, nutrition, habits, symptoms, and progress as parts of the same story.
“So much of a GLP-1 journey happens where no one is watching, between appointments, between doses, between decisions,” Randolph explains in the company’s founder story.
His background in technology and connected devices influenced the company’s product-first approach. Instead of developing another general weight-management app, GLPCare created a wearable and software experience specifically structured around GLP-1 routines.
A Screenless Band Designed to Stay Out of the Way
At the center of the GLPCare system is the GLP Care Band, a screenless consumer wellness wearable.
The device continuously captures signals such as sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, activity, workouts, and recovery. Rather than displaying notifications or competing for the wearer’s attention, the band sends its data to the GLPCare app.
The screenless design is intentional. GLPCare describes the band as a quiet source of continuous wellness data, not another device users need to repeatedly check throughout the day.
Inside the app, information from the band can be viewed alongside a member’s medication schedule and manually logged details, including protein, hydration, meals, symptoms, appetite, cravings, weight, habits, and daily check-ins.
This combination is what separates the platform from a conventional fitness tracker. A traditional wearable may identify changes in sleep or recovery, but it generally does not place those changes within the context of a person’s dose schedule or GLP-1 routine.
GLPCare’s goal is to make those patterns easier to recognize.
Turning Disconnected Data Into a Daily Picture
The GLPCare app organizes members’ information around a daily Wellness Score and the underlying factors contributing to it.
A member can review sleep, recovery, activity, dose timing, nutrition, habits, symptoms, and progress in one place. The app may also surface informational observations about patterns in the member’s logged data, such as recovery changing during certain parts of a dose week or sleep appearing stronger on days when a particular routine was followed.
The platform also includes Cara, a conversational data assistant that helps users explore their own logged wellness information.
These features are designed to provide informational wellness insights rather than medical instructions. GLPCare states that its app and wearable do not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or replace guidance from a licensed clinician.
That distinction is especially important in a category where wellness technology and clinical care can easily become blurred.
Two Ways to Use GLPCare

GLPCare offers separate paths depending on whether a person already has a prescription.
People who are already working with a clinician can purchase the Band + App membership while continuing to use their existing medical provider and pharmacy. The platform then acts as a connected tracking and wellness system around their current treatment.
For individuals who still need clinical evaluation, GLPCare also offers Full Care plans. These plans may include an evaluation by an independent licensed clinician, medication when prescribed, pharmacy fulfillment, the GLP Care Band, the app, and ongoing program support.
Medical services are provided through independent licensed clinicians affiliated with OpenLoop Health. GLPCare itself does not practice medicine or make prescribing decisions.
Semaglutide or tirzepatide may be available when an independent clinician determines that treatment is medically appropriate. Completing an eligibility assessment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.
By offering both options, the company is able to support people who already have established care as well as those looking for a more complete, connected pathway.
Addressing the Space Between Appointments
The larger idea behind GLPCare is straightforward: a medication schedule alone cannot show how someone is sleeping, recovering, eating, moving, or responding to changes in routine.
Those factors can be difficult to understand when they are distributed across unrelated tools. GLPCare is betting that bringing them together will help users arrive at future appointments with a clearer record of their experience and make it easier to stay aware of the habits supporting their broader goals.
The company is careful not to position its technology as a replacement for medical care. The GLP Care Band is a consumer wellness device, while prescribing and treatment decisions remain with independent licensed clinicians.
Instead, GLPCare is positioning itself as the connected layer around care: the technology that helps make the time between appointments more visible.
As GLP-1 treatment becomes a longer-term part of many people’s lives, the next generation of health platforms may be defined not only by access to medication, but by what happens after the prescription is written.
GLPCare is building for that next stage.
