Global Immigration Partners Urges Investors to Act Quickly as EB-5 Program Review Looms

September 6, 2025 – Washington DC – Global Immigration Partners is advising prospective investors that now is the time to act if they are considering the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. With a program review on the horizon, timing is critical for those seeking permanent residency in the United States through investment.

The EB-5 Green Card process allows foreign nationals to obtain U.S. residency by making a qualifying investment and creating jobs for American workers. Currently, the minimum EB-5 investment amount is $800,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or $1,050,000 in non-TEA projects. Given the possibility of upcoming changes during the program’s review, applicants are encouraged to move forward before stricter requirements are implemented.

A typical EB-5 journey begins with filing Form I-526 or I-526E, which demonstrates the investor’s eligibility and compliance with the required source of funds documentation. Upon approval, investors and their families receive a Conditional Green Card valid for a two-year period. To remove conditions and obtain permanent residency, investors must later submit Form I-829, proving that the investment has met the program’s job creation requirements.

Investors can choose between participating in a Regional Center project, which allows for pooled investments and indirect job creation, or making a Direct Investment, which requires active involvement in the business and direct job creation. Each option carries unique benefits and considerations depending on the investor’s personal and financial goals.

“Given the uncertainties that accompany any program review, EB-5 applicants should not delay,” said a spokesperson for Global Immigration Partners. “Whether you are exploring Regional Centre projects or considering Direct Investment, our team can guide you through every step—from selecting the right project to documenting your source of funds and preparing your I-526 filing.”

Global Immigration Partners offers personalised EB-5 guidance, helping investors navigate the complexities of the process and increase their chances of success.
