The cookies are named in honor of Bruno, an English Golden Retriever, that has been part of the owners, Gilbert and Paul Delagnes, family and their bakery for almost ten years. Bruno’s sensitive stomach gave Paul & Gilbert inspiration to create a special cookie recipe using the freshest and most premium ingredients.

Gilbert Delagnes was born in Sonoma County, the heart of California’s wine country. He learned early in life that special occasions with friends and family often centered around a wonderful meal, and beautiful desserts. His love for culinary arts brought him to study under Jean and Anne who owned Costeaux French Bakery in Healdsburg, CA. He then opened Michel’s Croissant Shop in Menlo Park, CA., before moving to Southern California to buy the Bread Basket Cake Company in 1988.
