New York’s Euphonya Events offers live music for private, corporate, and community events and invites conservatory-trained musicians to apply.

-- Euphonya Events, a New York City music and entertainment company, announces live music services for private celebrations, corporate and institutional gatherings, and community and cultural events. The company also invites conservatory-trained musicians to apply to its artist roster. Founded by baritone Teofil “Teo” Munteanu, Euphonya connects classically trained performers with clients seeking personalized live music and aims to give musicians professional opportunities beyond traditional concert settings.

“Music gave me a voice long before I understood what I wanted to say with it,” said Munteanu, Founder and CEO of Euphonya Events. “Euphonya is my attempt to use that voice to create opportunities for others.”

A Company Built Around a Gap

Munteanu says Euphonya grew from his own experience as a performing artist. He observed that many highly trained musicians spend years perfecting their craft yet find it difficult to reach meaningful professional opportunities outside competitive audition settings. Euphonya was created to address that gap. According to the company, it provides supplemental income to musicians pursuing degrees at conservatories in the United States, and it works with established professionals as well.

The name Euphonya comes from the idea of “beautiful sound.” The company describes its purpose as harmony between excellence and humanity, and between artistry and service. Munteanu was born in Romania and moved to the United States with his family at age seven. He says the company reflects his belief that the greatest privilege of an opportunity is being able to create one for someone else.

Three Kinds of Engagements

Euphonya’s services fall into three categories. Private performances include curated live music for weddings, galas, and intimate gatherings, with repertoire and presentation tailored to each occasion. Corporate and institutional programming covers conferences, luxury venues, and other formal events, with music designed to add to the atmosphere without overpowering it.

The third category, community and cultural engagements, reflects what the company describes as a belief that music should not be limited to grand halls. It includes sacred spaces, cultural festivals, nursing homes, schools, and nonprofit galas. The company says each event is planned in consultation with the client, who can work with the team to shape repertoire, ensemble size, and presentation.

The Euphonya Standard

The company says it works exclusively with conservatory-trained musicians chosen for technical skill and also for presence, professionalism, and musical sensitivity. Its roster includes strings, vocalists, pianists and solo instrumentalists, and chamber ensembles. Euphonya says its vocalists have trained at institutions including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Yale School of Music, Mannes School of Music, and the Curtis Institute of Music.

“We are not simply in the business of providing music,” said Munteanu. “We are in the business of making artistry matter.”

An Open Call for Musicians

Euphonya says it is always seeking musicians from conservatories across the United States. The application process has three steps. Applicants submit a resume, headshot, and performance recordings, then take part in a brief virtual screening call to discuss artistic fit and professionalism. Approved musicians are added to the company’s curated network and considered for bookings. Applications can be sent to [email protected].

Munteanu says the company treats its musicians as individuals and not as names on a list. “I do not see musicians as interchangeable names on a roster,” said Munteanu. “I see individuals with extraordinary stories, years of preparation, and something profoundly human to offer.”

Vision and Growth

Munteanu says he is building Euphonya while continuing his own musical studies, and that this dual role informs how the company works. As a baritone, he says, he understands the discipline and uncertainty behind each performance. His performing background includes a fellowship at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, and a debut with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. He also reports operatic performances in the United States and Europe and says he is currently studying at The Juilliard School in New York City.

For the company’s next phase, Munteanu says he plans to build relationships with clients, musicians, and members of New York City’s cultural community. He describes his goal as creating a platform for artistic opportunity and showing that commercial success and cultural contribution can exist together.

“I don’t want Euphonya to be remembered merely for the events we produce,” said Munteanu. “I want it to be remembered for the artists whose lives we helped move forward and the people whose lives their music touched.”

“Success is not only about how far we manage to go,” said Munteanu. “It is also about how many doors we can open along the way.”
